Berlin - 1970 All Right Ack (Deroy, Uk)


I could not concentrate on the music for a few days and I used to turn off the player immediately. But when I heard this record, I realized why I did. Reason is, I could not find something to touch my soul. It must be a few seconds to be attracted to something. In the first song "Introduction", where I introduce them to Berlin, I have already turned against them. To explain the music of Berlin, I would like to say that someone who has come to a dead end or maybe it sounds like a freezing point. It is also amazing.

It is also interesting to note that Deroy label has tried many experimental sounds, but This is almost a free jazz album !
Overall, it is a performance-oriented record rather than a vocalist, and mixed of various genres such as blues, rag time, and piano solo. I personally prefer the recordings of vocals and exclude instruments from the list of purchases, but this is the case with the performance of this degree. I want to buy vinyl when it comes out.

I think that the intro of the song "Liletan walk" is so cool, it seems that the vocals lead my hand to a place that is somewhat secret oneself, and when the saxophone leads and gives it to the guitar, I hear improvisation like free dancing. Their free dancing and joy will permeate my whole body.
Why did Berlin name it Berlin? It makes me imagine playing in their bars in the back alleys of Berlin.

요 며칠 이상하게 음악에 집중이 안되어서 플레이어를 켰다가 바로 꺼버리곤 하였어요. 그런데 이 음반을 들었을때 왜 그런지 이유를 알게 되었습니다. 왜냐하면 무엇인가 나의 영혼을 툭하고 건드리는 음악을 만나지 못하였기 때문이였습니다. 무엇인가에 매료되는 순간은 몇초면 되는게 분명해요. 첫 곡 Introduction의 곡에서 나는 베를린이다고 소개하는 부분에서 벌써 반해버렸습니다. 베를린의 음악을 설명하자면 어떤 막다른 곳에 다가갔던 사람, 혹은 치열하게 물이 어는 빙점을 다은듯한 음악을 이라고 할까요.

디로이 레이블이 실험적인 사운드를 많이 시도 하였지만 거의 프리 재즈에 가까운 이런 음반도 나왔다는것도 신기하네요.
전체적으로 보컬 보다는 연주 중심의 음반이고 블루스나 랙타임, 담백한 피아노 솔로등 여러장르를 재즈에 믹스해서 들려줍니다. 개인적으로 보컬 중의 음반을 선호하고 인스트루먼트의 음반은 구매목록에서 제외하지만 이 정도의 연주실력이면 예스입니다. 비닐이 나오면 구매하고 싶네요.

이곡 Liletan walk" 곡의 인트로가 참 근사해요. 보컬이 어쩐지 은밀한 자기들만의 장소로 나의 손을 이끌고 인도하는듯합니다. 이후 섹스폰이 리드를 하고 기타에게 넘겨주면, 드럼이 서로 더듬듯이 받아줍니다 그리고 서로 자유로운 춤을 추는듯한 임프로비제이션을 들려주네요. 그들의 자유로운 춤과 희열이 온몸에 스며듭니다
베를린은 왜 베를린이라는 이름을 지었을까요? 베를린의 후미진 골목에서 그들의 바에서 신나게 연주하고 있는 상상을 하게 만드네요.

Erasmo Switzer - 1977 Same (Private, US)




It is the solo album of Mr. Switzer which puts the sound of the green nature of appalanchian. In the album, both the front and the back are filled with happy everyday of friends and his lover. Maybe he did not have a musically successful life. I can only imagine that he would have spent a simple and warm routine with his friends. His composition is also melted in his vocals and flute with his semblance and softness. There is something in it.
The album is rare but not the most expensive album, but it is a warming record.

아팔라치의 푸르른 자연의 소리를 그의 음반에 담은 에라스모씨의 솔로 앨범입니다. 앨범에 전면과 뒷면 모두 그의 친구들과 사랑하는 연인이 일상이 담겨져 있네요. 음악적으로 성공한 삶을 살지는 않았을지 몰라도. 사진만 보아도 그의 친구들과 소박하고 따뜻한 일상을 보냈을거라는 것이 짐작하게 합니다. 그가 작곡한 음악도 그의 셈세함과 부드러움이 목소리와 플룻에 녹아져있습니다. 그안에는 먼가가 있다. 앨범은 레어라고 비싼 음반은 아니지만 마음을 덥혀주는 음반입니다.
