Tony Gizzarelli – A Fadeing Man (1970s Mainland Records)

Completely unknown slow-burning psych grail from Anthony (Tony) Gizzarelli, an original member of the Italian psych band Free Love. After the tragic passing of two of the band members, Tony moved to the U.S, which is when I'm assuming he recorded the tracks on this 45. On this side is over six minutes of mellow funking drums and guitar with melancholic vocals that builds into full blown psych monster switching to blistering drums and scorching guitars. On the flip side is a track titled "Vision" that is actually another version of Free Love's track "Sandy" with different lyrics sung in English. Although Tony is not credited on Discogs as a member of Free Love, many fans of the band have confirmed it and you can distinctly here his vocals on "Sandy". So enjoy one of my favorite finds to date!
