An album that was made to promote the then-new Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki, which means this album was released in 1964. While lacking any Hula Records logos on the cover and labels, the back cover states the record is "Produced by Hula Records Inc." and "Hula" is written in the matrix/run-off groove.
The track listing is almost the same as the Hula Records compilation album, "Hawaiian Stars" (HS 512), which could mean both compilations were mastered/organized within close proximity of one another.
The song "Kona Hema" by The Hilo Kalimas is also known under its full title, "A Kona Hema`O Ka Lani".
