Lotus, Madonna & Spring – There’s Got To Be An Answer
Unknown release from an old Los Angeles record label that was affiliated with the psych/pop/folk/garage rock artist Randy Johnson (producer on this 45).
This record is interesting for some other reasons, too. Lotus Weinstock -- the Lotus credited on the record, who is actually named Maury Hayden -- is actually the mother of the violinist Lili Haydn who began playing with the LA Phil at age 15. More interesting still -- when Lotus got a song writing deal, she moved her and Haydn (only 3 years old at the time) to LA to live in a commune called Brotherhood of The Source. The Brotherhood of The Source led by Father Yod! If you haven't heard of him, his cult or his RECORDS do yourself a favor and google it all.
