Judy Palo – Fooled By You

Beautiful, gloomy female vocals backed by a turbulent surf instrumental. Incredible track with an incredible story as told by the back of the pic sleeve.

Partial excerpt:

“… If We were to tell you the true story of Judy, you would not believe it — for a story like hers happens only in the movies.

At the age of one, Judy began to show signs of her love for music. While her mother, a concert pianist, practiced at home, Judy would dance to her music. Her mother’s wishes of having her become a dancer ended when at the age of two, Judy was stricken with polio. However, the same warm heart that helps Judy deliver a song with such emotion, was not about to let her quit fighting. The girl who was not supposed to walk again not only recovered well enough to take dancing lessons, but at the age of sixteen, she walked among 30 beautiful girls and won her first of many beauty contests.

Although she enjoyed happiness in winning the beauty contest, she did not let this interfere with her music, for she had dreams of becoming a singing star. As her career started to materialize, Judy had another setback in life. The time she was to be hospitalized for seven major operations. Again she kept fighting — and again she won. After her last serious bout with life, Judy left her home in Cleveland, Ohio and moved to Florida where she met songwriter Ed Taros, who convinced her she was meant for the world of music.”
