The Gospelaires – Road to Emmaus
A truly magical and transcendent song with the most glorious, soaring harmonies and perfect, understated musical accompaniment. There's a kind of dreamlike, almost exotica vibe to it that makes it really unique among the country gospel I've heard. I was blown away when I first played this record. The fact that they're out of Everett, Washington, of all places, only adds to the intrigue.
