A smooth jazz science fiction soap opera soundtrack for stargazing through your bedroom window — scanning the night sky for radiant auroras, meteor showers & low hovering UFOs.

Aquatic sax washes over harmonic bass lines and misty midi flow-filters, each accumulating into an all consuming cloud of smooth, pixelated synthesis. A supernatural synthwave noir emerging from the spiraling currents of deep extraterrestrial vaporspace...

Ken Hamilton [USA] – a_3. To A Friend, To All Friend
Lp: Be Gentle With Yourself, 1979 - Lavender Records
Holly Tannen – Cutty Wren
This is an amazing album that really lives up to the promise of its title. This song, in particular, evokes a lost, ancient time full of mystery and darkness. It's about the hunting and subsequent eating of the king of the birds, the wren. The stark, heaviness of the instrumentation combined with Ms. Tannen's wonderful delivery really evokes a deep, strange, intoxicating magic.
Jiro Matsumoto – Last Pie00
Very little can be found about Jiro Matsumoto and this particular two-track album, of which I am sharing track 2 - Last Pie - yet preserving the stylisation from the release name. Shortly available on Bandcamp from 2023 and vanished recently, it also seems to have been used as musical accompaniment for an experimental choreographic event that was staged in Niigata in 2005. According to Bandcamp, Mastumoto Jiro leaves in Tokyo.

Alan Moore – The True History of What Didn’t Happen
"For the greater part of human social evolution, we have not been able, of felt no need, to differentiate between the fabulous and the historical as if we would prefer a shot of each in our cocktail of being."
A terrific spoken essay, written and read by Alan Moore. Ideal for those exploring the relationship between history and fantasy, and who want to delve deeper into Moore's techniques and theories as exemplified in most of his recent and more classic works.
The artwork comes an interview with Alan Moore featured in the Hellebore #2: The Wild Gods Issue. I couldn't identify the name of the artist, but happy to be educated.
