Tré (T Crew) – Take it to the Hoop + Ken Reid Band – Dreams ( Silverwings Records 1983 ) 7" Philly

Other dope Old School Rap Boogie Funk 45, came out as 7" only! in this clip you can see 2 different pressings! One is a big whole 7" pressing with 2 different versions of "Take it to the Hoop" (one with and one without intro) and the other one is a small whole 7" pressing with "Take me to the Hoop" on Side A ( on this pressing artist name is "T Crew" ) and "Dreams" by "Ken Reid Band" on Side B. I would say that the small hole pressing sounds a little bit louder! It's all about the "Tré" tune, super dope fusion of Old School Rap and Boogie funk with dope beats, an amazing Vocoder part at the beginning, awesome Music, fresh female singing vocals and a cool rap! Generally that's a sport rap, definitely one of the better ones! Dedicated to the Philadelphia 76ers who won the Basketball Championship in 1983, super fresh for sure! The B-Side Song by "Ken Reid Band" on the B-Side of the small hole pressing is nice as well, kind of Funk / Rock fusion .... In this clip you find the full song "Take me to the Hoop" ... and directly after the song I have also recorded a sound sample of the "Ken Reid Band" Song, as mentioned above it's all about the A-Side Song, but now you get an idea how the other song sounds like! So check out .. Peace

Blockhead – Let’s Play The Feud! (New Single Premiere)

Prolific NYC producer Blockhead returns to Future Archive Recordings with a new full-length album with the charmingly titled “Space Werewolves Will Be The End Of Us All” written during, and heavily influenced by, COVID-19 and quarantine.

“Let’s Play the Feud!” is the first offering from the record and it doesn’t disappoint… A deep and rich composition that flits between styles and feelings with a total disregard for genre or labels. The track incorporates an all-embracing collage of sounds and emotions from hopeful and upbeat to pensive and ethereal, all cohesively without breaking stride.
