A truly ambitious and explosive reworking of the Box Tops classic by this talented and tight Nevada lounge band. Of special note is the fact that multi-instrumentalist Frank Cole hooked his Wah Wah pedal up to his Saxophone for this wild performance. Nice work Frank! What I wouldn't give to have seen this performed live.

Karate Moves ~ Honolulu Beat

grabbed this at the st. louis record fair sometime between 2017-2018, and it's been sitting on my hard drive ever since. back then the channel was for Serious Music™️ ONLY, and this was far too novel for our 'high brow' sensibilities...

i DO wish the narrator would've called in sick on studio day though; then we could all just hang out and bask in this nice slice of, lofi hypnagogic psych-pop-funk jamming in peace, instead of hearing about 'k!ll blows' and whatnot...anyhow, i'm glad things've lightened up around here; it feels good to chill out and 'enjoy the experience':)
