Session: Bessie Jones VIII 10/61
"Doctor Harris and his brother were married to women who were sisters. When she was nine years old and living in Georgia, Bessie used to take care of Dr. Harris's baby. The doctor's brother was married to a woman who had a terrible temper. The couple were expecting a baby. The doctor's brother brought his pregnant wife a Bible hoping to cure her bad disposition, but the woman did not take kindly to the gift and threw the Bible out their front door. Shortly after this, she had gave birth to a baby that had only three fingers and a little knot on his head and a little bump for a tail. It wouldn't nurse. They sold that baby to the Robinson show. Bessie feels the baby was the devil in human form on a mission to teach the woman a lesson. The devil spoke through the baby and told the its mother that he was going to live seven years before dying, at which point she would die as well. It came to pass, the child died at seven years of age and one half hour later the mother died. All this goes to show that you should not mess with God."
