Supertonic – Cathy [w/lyrics]

A4 from In The Heat Of The Night
UK 1978
Private Press

Indebted to L.

Lyrics:
I remember the dance where we met
When the girls asked the blokes Cath you asked me I'll never forget,
And the time when we sat on a bed,
While John Lennon was singing and my body supported your head

Cathy come back to me I don't want you to go oh no,
Cathy come back to me let's make things like they used to be.

When you went on your first holiday,
You said: don't wanna go, I love and I wanna stay,
I can clearly remember the time,
When you set off to Greece with the tears rolling down from your eyes.

We loved each other and looked after each other
For a long and happy time,
We lived together and we worked together,
And I thought you'd always be mine.

When a year and a half had passed by,
You told me your mind I'm confused 'cause I do not know why,
Your feelings for me aren't the same,
You're no longer in love and I can't make out who is to blame.

FTI Crew & WB Crew feat. The B-Street Band – Monsters / Rock You ( Dimex 1986 ) 7" Boston Hip Hop

Very fresh 45 here, still under the Radar! Dope double Artist Release with "Rock You" by "WB Crew" aka "White Boy Crew" on Side A and "Monsters" by "FTI Crew" aka "Fresh To Impress Crew" on Side B. Just for your Info, one of the "FTI Crew" members was "Ed O.G", indeed this one here was his vinyl Debut! Both Groups also contributed songs for the dope "Boston goes Def" compilation which came out on "Beautiful Sounds Records" in the same year 1986. The highlight on this 45 is "Monsters" by the "FTI Crew", super dope mid80s Hip Hop with hard DMX Oberheim Beats, Toccata & Fugue theme (Bach) and dope Rappin!!! "Rock you" by "WB Crew" is dope too ... basing on "We will rock you" by "Queen", typical mid80s Rock / Hip Hop fusion tune, definitely fresh as well! In this clip you find both songs, full tracks! First the "FTI Crew" Jam "Monsters", second "Rock You" by the "WB Crew". So check out the full clip, these jams are dope! By the way, in the clip you see the official 45 and an obscure Pressing which I got from a guy who told me that he found it in a Jukebox, possibly it's a Jukebox edition, maybe it's a Promo ...or something like a pre-release, no idea! In any case a very collectable record, which pressing ever, Happy Halloween, Peace
