Scotch Plains - Fanwood High School Class Of '74 – It's About Time
(HMR Productions )
The first album was so beautiful that I was curious what kind of music it would play when it came out. They wrote the music and composed it like their first album. and the women singer's voice is still a beautiful album. The decisive difference is that the first album was produced in the studio, and this recording was a recording of a performance.
I still feel the freshness of youth and purity.
Aura (NY) – If You Could Take Me There – Private Press UFO Themed Psychedelic AOR Synth Prog Rock
Super wacky (yet amazing) UFO themed AOR platter. Enjoy!
Soul Fusion – Bring back the Funk (Sunshine Sound Acetate 1985-87) Unreleased Electro Rap / Funk
Special Acetate here, the Song "Bring back he Funk" is a totally unreleased Electro Rap / Funk tune, dope Fusion of Hip Hop & Funk! The MC is bad ass and the female Soul Singer is outstanding! I would say it must be from around 1985-1987! There' also an acappella featured on this Acetate! There are 2 more songs on this Acetate, "Nite Falls" and "East Coast Rhythm", both soulful Old School Garage House Funk tunes, both totally unreleased and really fresh as well … I will upload sound samples of the other 2 tracks as well in the near future …. but the highlight on this Acetate is definitely "Bring back the Funk". The full Song is 6:40 min, I uploaded a 3:52 min Sound Sample …. long enough to enjoy! Peace

Noel Kendrick – This Neighborhood ( Broken Records 1985 ) 7" New Orleans Hip Hop
Today another special Hip Hop 45, not just dope & rare … this is possibly the first Rap Release out of New Orleans! History says that the first Nola Hip Hop Artist on Vinyl was "The Ninja Crew" (Gregory D., Sporty D & Dj Baby T.), their Song "We destroy" came out in 1986 on the Miami Label "4-Sight Records". As you can see this one here is from 1985, 1 year older … and not just a Nola Artist, also recorded and released in New Orleans! About the Song, super dope mid80s Message Rap, fresh Live Band … and outstanding Rap by 3 MC's, I have no idea who they are and if "Noel Kendrick" was one of them! In any case it's a super fresh and very collectable 45, hard to get … I don't think that many have been pressed! I recoded the full song, so check it out …. this Shit is dope!!
Makk Daddy – Look Out ( Top Notch Records Inc. 1985 ) 7" Riverside CA Old School Rap
Dope mid80s Old School Message Rap, West Coast obscurity! Really hard to get, this on doesn't show up very often! Was released as 7" only! "Look out" is the only Release by "Makk Daddy". It says 1985 on the Label, otherwise I would have guessed that it must be early 80s, this is pure Old School …. dope Old School Beat, cool bassline, fresh Synths …. and an outstanding MC on the Mic, this one's definitely flying under the Radar! I recorded the full Song … so check it out, this shit is dope! Peace

Moonspinners – B2. Friends
Moonspinners – Moonspinners (Crusade Enterprises)
Obscure private press LP from circa 1974 on Crusade Enterprises. A 10 girl folk pop group covering many sunshine pop and folk-pop classics. Two acoustic guitars and harmonizing vocals. The group covers songs by The Association, Spanky & Our Gang, Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver, The Beatles, and several other folk and sunshine pop style artists. T Crusade Enterprises was a label from the early 70's that did mostly religious and devotional music. These girls were probably part of some church group, however the songs are not at all Christian-based. It's actually quite a fun listen, though minimal. The album cover only has print on the front, back cover is blank.
