Klaus Wiese – Klangschalen Meditation [Full album]

Rest in peace, Klaus Wiese (1943-2013).
There's nothing quite like the stark resonance of Tibetan singing bowls. The bowls would not only be struck but also continuously rubbed with a soft, padded mallet or similar.
Also, there's some sort of synth interlude from 25:34 until 28:43. I don't remember that section ever being there, haha xD
Anyway, I hope you enjoy! :)

Klaus Wiese – Samarkand [Full album]

Rest in peace, Klaus Wiese (1942-2013).
Rotary-organ-esque synthesizers dominate the proceedings here.
"Fergana II" is extra special in my humble opinion. It somehow epitomises Klaus' musical ethos and methodology. Enjoy! :)

Klaus Weise – Perfume [Full album]

Rest in peace, Klaus Wiese (1942-2013).
A bit of an oddity amongst Klaus' discography. It's similar to "KW" in that it largely consists of shorter tracks that often include digital percussion (with a smattering of acoustic percussion presumably provided by Ted de Jong). Like KW, it's rather extraordinary among latter-day Wiese albums in that most of the pieces are unique to this release, with a few notable exceptions - eg, "Velvet Octaves" is identical to "Canyon I" from the eponymous album.
Hope you enjoy! :)

Klaus Wiese – Gnosis [Full album]

Rest in peace, Klaus Wiese (1942-2013).

Uploaded primarily for completionist's sake. As was often the case with his releases on the Umbra label, many of these pieces have already appeared on prior albums in various forms - e.g. they may be mixed differently, or instrumental/textural layers may be added or removed.
Enjoy! :)

Nicholas Dodd – Starlands 3 [Full album]

Arcane certainties veiled by the incomprehensible core...
The third and final cassette in Dodd's epic "Starlands" series. It's just as gorgeous and spellbinding as the first. Sadly, the second tape continues to elude me despite over two years of scouring the internet - but I won't give up, rest assured.
Enjoy! :)

Viridian Sun – Solar Noise [Full album]

The incandescence of ionizing particles, sparkling in coronal choreography...
Abyssal cosmic atmospheres. I'm not a huge fan of labels, but this would seem to qualify as "space music" - though I don't see that subgenre mentioned often nowadays for some reason!
Headphone listening recommended. The mood here is hard to pinpoint... it's neither happy nor sad, it merely is. Enjoy! :)

All music composed, performed, arranged & produced by Michael Griffin and David Tollefson.

The Necks – Quay/Raab

Three virtuosos at the height of their powers come together to express the ineffable...
The Necks combine jazz and ambient in a way that few others have attempted. These two live performances are among their best work from their early minimalist period - before they began adding synths and various other instrumental layers to liven up the pieces. Enjoy! :)
Taken from the quadruple album "Athenaeum, Homebush, Quay & Raab".

Piano by Chris Abrahams.
Bass by Lloyd Swanton.
Drums by Tony Buck.

Evanescent carillons ring out on an oneiric afternoon...
Dreamlike, psychedelic guitar and electric violin drone with a distinctly improvised feel to it. Enjoy! :)
