A blissed-out synthpop ballad taken from one of the 1990 demo tapes. Reminiscent of Yazoo et al, with the ambient pads and Karl's unusually emotive and passionate vocals taking center stage.
Another forgotten UW gem that hopefully they'll consider revisiting at some stage. There's just something special about this song, IMHO :)

A forgotten synthpop diamond, taken from a 1990 demo tape. Here the transition from fairly unspectacular new wave group to innovative and imaginative electronica superstars is firmly in gestation. Indeed, "Mother Earth", the closing track from "Dubnobasswithmyheadman", originates from the same demo tape.
Most of the songs on the demo aren't particularly brilliant, but I think there's something really special about this one, as cheesy as it might sound to some. My dream is that one day they'll revisit this track in some incarnation!

Yet another take on this perennial classic. This time around Karl takes up his trusty Fender and conjures up some deliciously mellow and dreamy guitar licks. Once again the origins of this track are totally unknown but I think it's probably taken from Dirty Radio as per usual.
Personally I'd say this is one of the best versions of this tune I've ever heard! The guitar really takes it to another level. There's also a keyboard line they've used elsewhere - on some live improvisations I think - but I'm not entirely certain so if anyone can remember exactly where let me know in the comments :)
