I met Irv's album about ten years ago. I have forgotten about it, but recently I've seen it twice on eBay auction. I got it out again.
Oh ... It's as good as if you forgot your old friend who is in a good mood and met you again.
I remember the first time I saw him. At first he seemed to laugh and look like a purely child on the cover. But the title is the opposite, " The Fiery Sounds Of The Newborn Sun", how wonderful the title was!
He liked it at once. Also, after listening to his music, I became more and more loving.
I think this is the power of sound. Even if you do not want to show something, you are naturally melted into each other and feel something to communicate with each other even if you do not say it. His voice whispering naturally and his sound catching the heat on the guitar.
It's Soooo. HOt !

SUNRISE was written by Thom Gambino during a tour with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra. At the conclusion of a nightly engagement in Miami Beach, Thom spent most of the night on the beach in meditation. The awe and spectacle of the morning sunrise left such an impression on him that, upon returning to New York, he wrote this album.
SUNRISE is the entire first side of this album.

It does not seem to have been officially released because the label does not have a catalog number. It is likely that it was produced as a demonstration. SRT also provided facilities for custom recordings - getting records made for artists who put tracks down in the studio or who supplied previously-recorded tapes. I guess this is kind of album.
The information is not found anymore, but it appears that two people have participated in the recording, as the cover says David James & RIchard Toulsin.
The music is not so good as British music, but it is oriented to the country sound of Nashville.
All songs are made of cover songs..I am not a favorite genre of country music, but I guess at the time it would be unique and competitive in the UK. From an English perspective.

Pete is a good guitar player. His relaxed voice and slow guitar picking is not gorgeous but simple and cool. I do not get tired of it many times. I feel honest in that respect.
